Detection Dog Drum is deployed to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy
We are pleased to announce that after ten months of specialist training Arms/Ammunition dog Drum was deployed to the Ol Pejeta conservancy on the 26th March to start his life as part of the anti-poaching dog unit. His role with in the unit will be two fold, firstly he will be responsible for searching cars entering the conservancy checking for hidden weapons and secondly to locate weapons hidden by poachers. ASA Drum features in the Times Newspaper
ASA trained detection dog 'Drum' featured in the Times newspaper today highlighting the work of conservation dogs in Africa. Drum was deployed to the Ol Pejeta conservancy a week ago, his role being to assist in the prevention of wildlife crime by searching for the presence of hidden firearms and ammunition.
