ASA teaches retired police dog 'Finn' to repel

September 23, 2019

Retired police dog 'Finn' and handler PC Wardell pictured here K9 repel training under instruction from ASA. Police dog Finn and his handler have been hugely instrumental to changes in the law regarding those who harm service animals following an incident where Finn was stabbed and seriously hurt as he protected PC Dave Wardell from an attacker in 2016.Nicknamed "Finn's Law", the new legislation makes it harder for those who harm service animals to claim they were acting in self-defence. It was an absolute honour working with this devoted dog team.
