The dogs seen here are raised, nurtured by Aaranyak, a leading wildlife NGO based in Guwahati with support from Germany’s Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union.  Their role to provide anti-poaching support to three national parks in the province of Assam including Kaziranga National park. Aaranyak placed its first dog into service 'Jorba' in 2011 with tremendous success. He has been responsible for over forty poaching arrests and moving forward it was decided to expand the section by a further three dogs 'Misky, Leon & Sheela' purchased in 2017 by NABU Int.

Animals Saving Animals was asked by NABU Int in 2018 to carry out further training with the dog section, specifically to get the new unit operationally ready and complete a combat tracker course. We are pleased to announce that all handlers and dogs passed and are now serving in their respective national parks. Following on from this success ASA funded a new dog in 2019,  'Imme' a ten month old female Belgian Malinois has been in training for 8 months with the unit and will be operational shortly.
